Dear distinguished leaders and colleagues in the field of TCM:
"International TCM and Acupuncture Summit Forum" and "2024 11th Canada Acupuncture and TCM Continuing Education Conference", along with the inaugural "Zhang Jin International Contribution Award for the Development of TCM Acupuncture" will be held in Toronto, Canada, on Saturday, August 24 to Monday, August 26, 2024.
It will be hosted by Heilongjiang University of Chinese Medicine from China and the Ontario College of Traditional Chinese Medicine from Canada; and co-organized by Ontario College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, International Association of Acupuncture & Moxibustion Manipulation Technique (IAAMMT), Dr. Wu's Head Massage of International Association, and World Federation of Acupuncture-Moxibustion Societies - Inheritance Working Committee, the Translation Committee of the World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies. This academic conference and summit forum will bring together heavyweights in the academic circles of Canada and China.
Professor/President Guo Hongwei will lead the clinical and teaching elites of Heilongjiang University of Chinese Medicine to teach the clinical treatment experience of dominant diseases of TCM while experts and scholars from various provinces in Canada share their many years of overseas experience in TCM and acupuncture. This is a rare international academic feast of TCM and Acupuncture!
During the academic conference, the award ceremony for the inaugural 'Zhang Jin International Contribution Award for the Development of TCM Acupuncture' will be held. This ceremony aims to honor and recognize experts, scholars, and outstanding individuals who have made significant achievements and contributions to the field of international TCM and acupuncture, particularly in promoting its development.
This year marks the 70th anniversary of the founding of Heilongjiang University of Chinese Medicine; during the academic conference, the Canadian Alumni Association of Heilongjiang University of Chinese Medicine joined hands with the British Alumni Association, the Hungarian Alumni Association, and the American Alumni Association to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the university's establishment.
Due to the approval of the Markham City Council in Ontario, the last week of August (25-31) will be designated as "Markham City TCM and Acupuncture Week"; later in the academic conference, we will promote TCM and Acupuncture and conduct free clinics for citizens.
Here, we would like to thank many TCM experts and scholars from all over the world and Canadian provinces, especially Ontario, for their support and participation in the 10 consecutive academic conferences in 2009, 2011, and 2016 to 2023.
We sincerely invite Chinese medicine practitioners and acupuncturists at home and abroad, teaching and scientific researchers from Chinese medicine colleges and universities in various countries, and heads of pharmaceutical companies and medical equipment companies to participate in this conference. Paper Requirements:
The paper deadline is July 31th, 2024. Papers are limited to 3,000 words and should be submitted in Chinese/English bilingual with a 300-word Chinese/English abstract. If Chinese manuscripts need to be translated, an additional $100 CAD translation fee is required. Please email the papers and related documents (in the form of MS PowerPoint) to the Secretariat (markham@octcm.com) or mail the papers and CD-ROM to the “Conference Preparatory Committee” at 110-3190 Steeles Avenue East, Markham, Ontario Canada, L3R 1G9, contact number: (905)-477-8855. The conference will organize the proceedings and the academic group has the right to select the pieces, and decide whether to publish or modify the text and graphics of the paper.
Registration Fee:
International registration fee is $300 USD, which includes the conference fee and materials, and will be invoiced as "Conference Fee". Meals, accommodation and round-trip transportation are at your own expense.
Local registration fee is $200 CAD for the symposium only, and a 50% discount of $100 CAD for current OCTCM students.
